CCRI President’s House
When the Knight Estate was bequeathed to the Community College of Rhode Island, it included a large Federal and Greek revival home for its President.
Built in 1830, the President’s House is a registered historic place. To accommodate the President’s schedule, Martone managed the building’s restoration during limited hours of 9am to 2:30pm every day. The project required removing and replacing existing architectural shingles, rubber roofs, and 1,500 lineal feet of siding. The team made structural repairs to both porches, and all exterior wood surfaces were restored, prepared and painted.
