Narragansett Cabanas
A popular destination for surfers and sunbathers, attracting as many as 10,000 visitors per day, Narragansett Beach was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy.
The October 30th, 2012 storm inflicted substantial damage. Twenty-four cabanas were lifted from their foundations and torn in half. Remaining buildings suffered from flying debris. Staircases ruined. Martone began work right away – driving piles before the final contract was ready. The team worked through the winter framing cabanas, and installing the new roof, trim, skylights, doors, and decking. The fast-track schedule achieved a spring finish – well before beach season.
