Forman Center
One of the oldest at Rhode Island College, the Sylvan R. Forman Center is a centerpiece administrative building on campus.
The Sylvan R. Forman Center, one of the oldest buildings at Rhode Island College, was in poor condition with visible deterioration and rot. Its’ exterior restoration was an important investment to bring the Administrative Admissions building up to today’s standards. It is safe, beautiful, and functional, while preserving and respecting the original c.1875 period architecture. Masonry restoration occurred around the whole building, and window trims and sills, soffits, decorative moldings, and railings were carefully replicated and replaced. The project also required roof and patio repairs and repainting. A prominent feature of the building, the entrance way is faithfully restored, and again contributes to its stately appearance.
