St. Joseph’s Parish
Built in 1870, St. Joseph’s served a growing population of textile mill workers during the second industrial revolution.
Like most architecture of its time, St. Joseph’s was constructed using plaster produced and installed through traditional methods brought to America from Europe. Over the years, it suffered cosmetic damages due to building movement and water infiltration. Within a fast-track 2-week schedule, Martone restored historic plaster – patching cracks, repairing holes, re-plastering missing pieces – before repainting the church to match the original color and texture.
