Varnum Armory
Completed in 1914, the armory served as headquarters for “Varnum’s Regiment”, a chartered unit of the Rhode Island Militia.
Listed on the National Register of Historic places and located in the heart of East Greenwich, the Varnum Armory is home to representative examples of weaponry, uniforms and artifacts dating from colonial America and through the 20th century. Martone completed an extensive window restoration project, on nearly 50 windows, to keep the building in pristine condition. Our team removed storm windows, scraped and sanded lead paint, removed failing glazing, installed new glass, and re-glazed all windows as needed. Window sashes were prepped and painted to finish.
